Hudson softball searching for more offense

Posted: Updated:
HUDSON, TX (KTRE) -

Great pitching can take a team a long way, and the Hudson softball team certainly knows that. Led by Kelsee Selman, the defending 3A state champions are headed to the regional quarterfinals of the playoffs.

The Lady Hornets are coming off a series sweep of Lorena, but both games were tight. Hudson won game one, 2 to nothing, and won game two 3 to 2 on a walk off homerun by Selman...While Kelsee who has the third most strike outs in the country normally holds her own in the circle, Hudson knows they need to produce more offense. The girls are capable of putting up big runs, and say they just need to swing a better pitches.

Hudson is set to face a Robinson team that swept number four Rusk in the area round of the playoffs.
