LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police say Cheyanne Deerman, 29, of Lufkin was arrested Saturday following an argument with her boyfriend where Deerman allegedly assaulted him with a knife.

The incident happened in the 800 block of Lazy Oaks Street.

Police say Deerman and her boyfriend were arguing because he wouldn't give Deerman her keys. Deerman tried to retrieve the keys out of her boyfriends pocket and when she was unable to do so she went into the kitchen and got a knife.

Authorities say Deerman walked up behind her boyfriend and put the knife up to his throat and was also pointing the knife at him at times as well. The report says the boyfriend eventually took the knife from Deerman and put it away.

The boyfriend did not receive any injuries from the knife but had injuries on the side of his neck allegedly from Deerman's fingernails.

Deerman has an arrest record in Angelina County dating back to 2008 with charges ranging from: driving while intoxicated, theft, public intoxication and criminal trespassing.
