NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches County jury has found a man guilty of trying to rob three people at gunpoint last year.

Michael Shemond White, 34, of Nacogdoches, will allow District Judge Campbell Cox to determine his sentencing.

The jury handed down the verdict when a two-day trial ended Wednesday.

According to the report, officers responded to the 100 block of Dutch Street at 3:33 p.m. on April 10 after a person was alleged to have confronted three people.

The alleged victims say he demanded money from them after showing his pistol to them.

Officers managed to track the suspect, identified as Michael Shemond White, 33, of Nacogdoches, several blocks away. One of the victims identified him as the one who tried to rob them.

The report does not say if White took anything from the victims or if anything was recovered.

White's sentencing hearing will be held on June 12.
