NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

The oldest excuse in the book did not work for a Nacogdoches woman behind on her child support Wednesday, according to Nacogdoches County authorities.

According to the report, a deputy arrived on the 11,000 block of US 59 North at 7:11 a.m. to serve a felony warrant for criminal nonsupport. The deputy reported a woman at the location identified herself as a different person. The deputy then asked for her driver's license and she told him that her dog ate it, according to the report.

The deputy managed to determine she gave false information about who she was and arrested Alma Marie West, 29, on the warrant and also charged her with failure to identify.

As of 10:45 a.m., her bail has not yet been set.
