Orange man found dead in Grapeland lake

GRAPELAND, TX (KTRE) -

An Orange man died after drowning in a Grapeland lake Friday afternoon.

Houston County Chief Deputy G.P. Shearer confirmed that the man's body had been found around 4:30 p.m. in Salmon Lake.

He was identified as Roudy John Henry Odom, 25.

Shearer said he had jumped in the lake and never resurfaced.

Houston County Sheriff's Office deputies, Texas Parks and Wildlife game wardens, and Grapeland Police officers assisted with the search, according to Chuck Franklin, the acting Grapeland Police Chief.
