Grapeland Public Library expanding summer programs

GRAPELAND, TX (KTRE) - This summer the Grapeland Public Library will extend their summer activities to include events throughout June and July.

The events range from family history classes to art classes.

Organizers hope all the activities give the community a relief from the heat.

"It lets them have something to do, especially using your hands and your minds gets the creative juices flowing. We're in the air conditioning. We have lots of books, movies and supplies, giving people plenty to do," said Library Director, Dianna Coldiron.

All the events are free, but there are age restrictions to some of the events and registration is required on some of the activities as well.

To register online you can visit the Grapeland Public Library website.
