ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A driver involved in a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday which claimed the life of a Diboll woman is listed in fair condition in intensive care at a Tyler hospital.

Nolan Ryan Ellingburg, 20, was driving a Toyota four-door and had pulled out from FM 2021 and into the path of a Chevy pickup, driven by Robert Lee Tarber, of Alto, on US 69. The pickup rolled on its side once and hit the passenger side of the car.

Ellingburg's passenger, Leah Maria McDonald, 18, of Diboll, died on the scene. Ellingburg was taken by helicopter to a Tyler hospital.

DPS Trooper Chris Stanbery said Ellingburg will be cited for failure to yield right-of-way.
