On the strength of a 5-run inning, the Hudson Lady Hornets came from behind to beat the Burkburnett Lady Bulldogs, 9-5, to advance to the next round of the 3A softball playoffs.
At the top of the 7th inning, the game was tied at 4-4. However, the Hudson players rallied at the top of the seventh inning. Solid hitting by the Lady Hornet players allowed them to finish the inning at 9-4.
Then after the Hudson defense allowed Burkburnett to score another run in the bottom of the seventh, the Lady Hornets retired the rest of the Lady Bulldog batters to seal the 9-5 win.
Burkburnett scored two runs in the fifth to make the score 4-2 in the Lady Bulldogs' favor. Hudson then tied things up in the sixth inning.
