LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The sixth annual Tee It Up For Teachers Golf Tournament is June 10, and there is still time to get your team signed up.
The event has a shotgun start at noon, and is being played under a full scramble team scoring format.
The tournament is hosted by the Angelina Chamber of Commerce and Lufkin Industries.
All the money raised will stay in the county and go to a good cause.
"This event is to raise funds for our local school districts here in Angelina County to buy training programs that they may need for their teachers and their students to help train their students to be work force ready when they graduate high school," said Melissa Wheeler with The Chamber.
There will be prizes awarded to the winning teams. There will also be two different hole in one contest. If anyone is lucky enough to get a hole in one they could win a new Kia Candenza or a $10,000 shopping spree from Wal-Mart.
