Proud of East Texas: Bill Williamson

Posted: Updated:
(KLTV) -

Bill Williamson describes himself as "one of the most prolific unknown artists ever to come out of East Texas."  That may be because Williamson likes to promote other artists as he does in his Walking Horse Gallery in Ben Wheeler.

However, it's probably because most of Williamson's work is at zoos across America, where he has designed and hand built animal habitats, including the waterfalls, boulders, caves, and trees found there

Locally, Williamson has built animal habitats found at Caldwell Zoo and the Texas State Fisheries in Athens.

His work on the national scale has been spot lighted on HGTV and Animal Planet.
