Trinity well grant approved after stage 3 water shortage

TRINITY, TX (KTRE) -

The City of Trinity has finally found relief after suffering from a stage three water shortage since April. One of the cities wells died in February, and the remaining two wells weren't producing enough water for the city.

City Manager Buddy Drake says they received the $250,000 grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture last week, and have plans drafted by the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission.

The well should be completed by the fall.
