Gift of Love: AJ

13 year old AJ and I are trying our hand at something beautiful and complicated, origami! This 7th grader loves to work with his hands. It's no wonder when asked what he wants to be when he grows up, AJ says he wants to be a doctor. And he already knows his speciality.

"Orthopedic surgeon," AJ said.

AJ understands that becoming a doctor could take some time, but he is committed to achieving this goal. AJ loves school and his favorite subject is math and science. When not thinking about the future, AJ loves to just hang with his friends.

He also likes to, "read or play football," AJ said.

AJ also likes soccer and basketball.

His favorite food is, "pizza," AJ said.

And don't forget about dessert!

"Strawberry pie," AJ said. With ice cream of course!

As for AJ's three wishes, travel tops the list.

"I've always wanted to go to china," AJ said.

And his second wish is to be successful!

"To succeed and be an orthopedic surgeon" AJ said.

As for AJ's third wish, it's out of this world!

"I've always wanted to go to space. That would be pretty cool," AJ said.

AJ says he would love a mom and a dad, a brother and a sister and he would like to live in the city. He also says it's important for him to be able to attend church.

"Learning about god is important," AJ said.

AJ is excited about adoption because he is ready to have a family he can share all of his dreams with, a family that can show AJ the Gift of Love.
