Belmont law school moves toward full accreditation

Posted: Updated:

Belmont University's law school has received provisional accreditation from the American Bar Association.

A law school must maintain its provisional accreditation for at least two years before applying for full accreditation.

This is the first time in nearly 50 years a Tennessee law program has received accreditation from the ABA.

Belmont is scheduled to graduate its first law school class next year.
