NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested a 25-year-old man Wednesday for aggravated sexual assault of a child for allegedly molesting a 3-year-old girl.
Ricardo Sanchez Quiroz, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. His bail has been set at $100,000.
According to the arrest affidavit, the NCSO investigator, acted on a report that Quiroz had allegedly sexually assaulted a 3-yar-old girl. After the NCSO investigator obtained a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner's report from Harold's House in Lufkin that said evidence shows the toddler was sexually assaulted, he brought Quiroz in for an interview Wednesday.
Speaking through a translator, Quiroz said that he was willing to talk to the investigator. During the interview Quiroz allegedly admitted to touching the little girl.
