Lufkin police are trying to put together the pieces in what appears to be a shooting death on Weaver Avenue Wednesday night. Caleb Beames has been following the story all day and visits with those who were closest to Albert Hodge. He'll bring you the latest at 4 and 5.

It wasn't a lack of popularity which kept Jones Pool closed for two years, but a lack of lifeguards. But now Lufkin officials are proud to re-open the pool today and so were the residents of the community. Francesca Washington has the report at 10.

Longtime Nacogdoches High School band director Glynn Wells is taking a new position within the school district. This fall he'll become the newly appointed fine arts director. At 6, Donna McCollum tells us Wells will still be seen around the band halls, but it definitely won't be the same for the students or himself.
