LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Back by popular demand, the Humane Society will host their summer rabies clinic this Saturday, June 15 from 8 to noon.
It's a one-stop shop for the community to get their cats and dogs vaccinated.
And you don't even have to get out of your car, it's a drive thru.
Rabies shots will are just $10, canine 8-way (parvovirus, coronavirus, distemper, adenovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, kennel cough, leptospirosis) and feline 4-way (rhinotrachetis, calcivirus, panleukopenia, chlamydophilia lukemia) are both $20, microchiping and registration is $15 per animal.
All cats must be in carriers, dogs on leashes and checks or cash only.
Yana Ogletree, a Winnie Berry Humane Society board member says, "It is very convenient. I don't know how much more convenient it can be. You can stay in your car and don't be afraid if you see the line backed all the way down Webber street last year people came by and said oh my gosh the line is so long I'm not going in it. You can get through it in under 30 minutes so don't be afraid it moves very quickly."
Staff at the Humane Society says it's very important for owners to kept their pets up-to-date on their shots.
