LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office arrested a 20-year-old Lufkin woman on felony child endangerment charges Friday for allegedly exposing her 10-month-old child to methamphetamine earlier this year.

Courtney Nicole Oder was charged with endangering a child which is a state-jail felony. She posted a $1,500 bail and was released from the Angelina County Jail on Saturday.

According to the arrest affidavit, an ACSO investigator was contacted by a case worker in regard to a positive drug test performed on Oder's child on March 18. CPS officials conducted a hair test on the child, who resided with Oder and the child's father, Dakota Gabbard at a residence in the 200 block of Briar Hill Rd and the sample tested positive for meth.

Gabbard, who was also charged with state-jail felony endangering a child, was arrested on April 8. He posted a $5,000 bail and was released the next day.

In a previous story Lt. Pete Maskunas of the Angelina County Sheriff's Office stated that Gabbard was never caught in possession of meth. When Gabbard was arrested, Oder was still in a drug rehab program.
