TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Tyler police have released video surveillance footage from Saturday morning's murder at the American Inn Motel.

According to police, the crime occurred just after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday at the motel, which is located at 1800 W. Erwin St. Investigators  believe that Lester was involved in a drug deal in his motel room before he was killed by the suspects. Surveillance video shows four black males walked onto the property and went to the victim's room. Two of the suspects entered Lester's room, while the two other suspects remained outside as lookouts.

Police have determined that Lester and two other subjects were in the room at the time of the shooting. After gunfire was heard and Lester was shot, the suspects fled the scene, heading towards W. Erwin Street.

Officers responded to the call around 6:55 a.m. and discovered Lester's body inside room 218. No one else was in the room when officers arrived.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler PoliceDepartment, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF(903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 forinformation that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects inthis case or any felony case.
