The annual MDA Telethon is now underway, and calls are already pouring in with donations going towards Jerry's Kids.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association hosts the Telethon every year to raise money to fight this terrible disease. It takes 62-dollars to pay for just one minute of research to fight MD and volunteers say it is well worth the cost.
Natalie Ward, who has muscular dystrophy said, "this is what makes it all happen. We're always so much closer to that cure and this is what...the big thing...this is what makes it all worth while."
Our very own Lee Ringer and Mechelle Dixon are hosting this years local telethon. Funds raised in the Labor Day Telethon will not only go to research, but help fund a camp for kids with MD.
