Turtle, the special needs kitty

Not sure how she's got her name but this 3-year-old Siamese cat is up for adoption.

Turtle has been at the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter for about 3 weeks after her owner passed away and the family could no longer take care of her.

Kennel attendant, Charlie Ferguson said, "They didn't have the money to keep you know taking her back and forth to the vet so they wanted to bring her here to try and get her a good home."

"Turtle is a special needs kitty. She has a few kidney issues but nothing too serious and she really needs to get out of the shelter environment and into a loving home."

"She's got some kidney problems," said Ferguson. "She's has to be on a special diet, special food and she has to have random check ups to check up on her kidney."

You can see in Turtle's eyes that she misses her owner and comes off a little shy at first

"She's a little scared you know but I think once she got in a place and got used to it she's going to be a wonderful cat," said Ferguson.

Turtle needs a family who can make sure her special needs are taken care of.
