TUSAYAN, AZ (CBS5) -

Crews continued mop-up work on the Halfway Fire near Tusayan in northwestern Arizona.

The fire remained 100 percent contained and was not showing any growth or creeping, according to an interagency news release Friday morning.

The fire burned about 250 acres in an area near the Grand Canyon, according to the release.

Impacts from smoke are minimal and there are no current closures from the fire that was first reported Wednesday afternoon, according to the release.

Fire restrictions remain in place on the Tusayan and Williams Ranger Districts of the Kaibab National Forest.
