NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrested two Louisiana men for felony possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop in Nacogdoches County Sunday morning.

Ronnie Joe Taylor, 41, of Columbia, LA, and Reginald Cornell Williams, 44, of Monroe, LA, are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. Both men were charged with first-degree felony possession of a controlled substance between 200 and 400 grams. No bail has been set at this time.

ADPS trooper stopped a 2012 Chevrolet 4-door for speeding on U.S. Highway North at approximately 10:23 a.m. When the trooper contacted the driver, the man said he was on his way to Monroe, Louisiana.

After the two men gave consent to search the vehicle, the trooper found 260 grams of meth in the console.
