A man has been sentenced in a series of kick-in burglaries and a related car chase in June 2013.
Judge Karen O'Connor sentenced Augustine Bobby Ortega on Thursday morning to 15 years in prison, followed by four years probation.
In February, Ortega pleaded guilty to three counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.
Ortega was arrested June 11, 2013 after barricading himself in a house in Phoenix.
Ortega was driving a pickup truck chased by Goodyear police and other Valley law enforcement officers that ended with the suspect bailing from the truck in a Phoenix neighborhood.
U.S. Marshals found Ortega at a house in the 1500 block of East Fillmore Street and Goodyear officers were called in to assist with the capture.
Ortega was the main suspect in a series of "door kick" burglaries in Goodyear and other Valley cities since January, said Lisa Kutis of the Goodyear Police Department.
Kutis said several items, including electronics, guns and victims' identifications, were found in the home and reported stolen from Goodyear and other cities.
