NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested a 34-year-old man for felony criminal mischief Monday in connection to an alleged fit of post-break up rage that resulted in approximately $3,600 worth of damage to items in his ex-girlfriend's home.

Delshawn Keggler, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail felony charge of criminal mischief between $1,500 and $20,000. Keggler's bail has been set at $15,000.

Chief Deputy Steven Godfrey of the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office said the initial 911 call came on June 1. Nacogdoches Police officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Meisenhemer Street, where a woman told them that someone had trashed her house while she was away.

While the Nacogdoches Police officer was on the scene, Keggler allegedly called the woman's phone, according to the arrest affidavit. When the woman handed the phone to the police officer, Keggler reportedly admitted damaging the woman's property.

Godfrey said Keggler admitted to throwing his ex-girlfriend's clothes on the bed and pouring bleach on them. He also allegedly broke her TV by throwing it onto the floor and turned over her dresser, breaking the mirror on it in the process.

"The whole house was in disarray," Godfrey said.

The broken TV was valued at $2,700, and the dresser had an estimated value of $500. Godfrey said the damaged clothes were valued at $300 and the broken or damaged home decor was valued at $100.

The Nacogdoches Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Keggler on June 17.
