A newly released Discovery Channel ad for "Shark Week" has gone viral and is getting mixed reactions.
The ad showed a fake newscast and a reporter with a crowd gathered around to watch the release of Snuffy the seal back into the ocean after its recent rescue. Then a large great white shark leaped out of the water and Snuffy was no longer in his harness.
Discovery Channel has titled this year's series: "Shark Week. It's a bad week to be a seal."
"Shark Week" was scheduled to begin Aug. 4.
