Mason is a boxer with manners

Posted: Updated:
LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Meet Mason. He's a 4-year-old brindle Boxer.

He was brought into the shelter as a stray and it's clear by how skinny he is, he was alone for a while.

Kurth Memorial Animal Care Attendant, Sarah Mosley said, "He needs some groceries. So if someone gets him they need to get him up to weight big time. He likes to play. Very friendly. They say he was very good in the vet's office. He sat real still and patient."

Staff at the shelter says Mason has really good manners and is great walking on a leash

"I think he'll be really good for you know kids," said Mosley. "A good fenced in yard, run and play and just get fattened up."

Staff says he is up-to-date on all his shots except for his rabies and he still needs to be neutered.

Mason is so sweet and loves attention and he will make a great pet for any family.

"They're very loyal. They're very smart and he's just a good boy. All well rounded," said Mosley.
