TUCSON, AZ (AP) -

Two vehicles collided at a midtown Tucson intersection, sending one through a parking lot and into a nearby convenience store where it struck a concrete trash can, fatally injuring a customer leaving the store.

Police say 58-year-old Debra Newton died of injuries she suffered in the Sunday accident.

According to police, the driver of a van involved in the collision with the car that struck the store was cited on a misdemeanor charge of causing serious injury or death by a moving violation.
