DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - Diboll Police have identified three more suspects and arrested two of them in connection to the graffiti incident on the Diboll Junior High campus.
Ke'Undra Dshae Bray, 17, and Preston Nathaniel Lee Brown, 17, are each charged with state-jail felony graffiti.
Xavier Dason Levine, 17, was arrested in June in connection to the same crime.
The arrest affidavit stated that the charge was upgraded to a felony because the graffiti was done on school property. Graffiti on a place of worship, a place of burial, or a public monument would also be a state-jail felony.
A detective with the Diboll Police Department met with the DISD director of operations on June 11, who told him that the district had photo evidence of gang-related graffiti on a large metal building on the junior high campus. In addition, the chief of the DISD Police Department provided video surveillance footage.
The DISD Police Chief said he reviewed the footage and determined that Levine was one of the four suspects who spray-painted graffiti. When the Diboll PD detective interviewed Levine, the 17 year old allegedly signed a written statement that admitted to his part in the graffiti incident.
A Diboll detective managed to identify Bray, Brown and another person as the other suspects in the case after hearing a phone conversation while investigating a separate case.
Bray and Brown were arrested on the charges Thursday. The fourth suspect has not yet been arrested.
