Fire which killed Nacogdoches woman and grandson started in kitchen

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A house fire which claimed the life of a Nacogdoches woman and her grandson has been determined to have started in the kitchen, but investigators are unable to determine an exact cause.

Nacogdoches Fire Chief Keith Kiplinger said investigators determined the general area of origin was the kitchen, but because of the heavy damage and collapse of the roof, investigators cannot determine the exact point of origin.

Gina Langley, 52, and Dane Shaw, 4, died in the early morning fire on Dorr Creek Street on June 2.
