Trinity duo in jail for lawn mowers theft

CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - Two Trinitymen are in jail Friday morning after allegedly stealing two lawn mowers and leadingauthorities across three counties.

Accordingto Crockett Police Chief David Cross, 49 year-old Michael Miracle and 23year-old Cody Wade stole two zero-turn John Deere lawnmowers from Fish andStill Equipment in Crockett Thursday night.

The two menloaded the lawn mowers into a pickup and fled the scene, Cross said.

Cross saidthe two men dumped the lawn mowers on the side of the road, after they found outthey were being pursued by authorities.

Accordingto Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace, Trinity County deputies took over thechase of the two suspects once they crossed into Trinity County.

The twowere eventually caught just inside Walker County.

Cross saidearly Friday morning, police were able to recover the stolen lawn mowers about amile and a half south of Lovelady on FM 230. The lawn mowerswere said to be in good shape.

BothMiracle and Wade are being charged with third-degree theft andare currently in the Houston County Jail.
