Angelina Co. authorities searching for 4 suspects in attempted home invasion

POLLOK, TX (KTRE) -

Angelina County Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for four suspects in an attempted home invasion/robbery that occurred on FM 2021 near Pollok Tuesday.

According to Lt. Pete Maskunas of the Angelina County Sheriff's Office, the attempted home invasion occurred near the intersection of FM 2021 and U.S. Highway 69 North.

Maskunas said the home owner had just gotten home when four young black men in a white, four-door car pulled up and tried to force him to open his front door. He refused to do so, and one of the men allegedly fired a round through a window.

At that point, the four suspects fled the scene in their vehicle and headed in the direction of Highway 69.

The home owner said that at least three of the four suspects were armed with semiautomatic weapons.

Anyone with any information about this incident is urged to call the Angelina County Sheriff's Office at (936) 634-3332.
