HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Hardin man who Angelina County authorities say has admitted to more than 20 burglaries now faces Houston County charges.
According to a press release, Houston County investigators interviewed Curtis Gabehart, 53, after they discovered he had stolen property from the county. Gabehart admitted to thefts and burglaries in Houston County and identified the houses in which he stole from, according to the report.
According to the report, cases in the counties of Nacogdoches, Cherokee and Trinity have also been cleared.
Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office arrested Gabehart in June after a citizen said they caught him burglarizing a home in the Diboll area. After his arrest, Sheriff Greg Sanches said Gabehart admitted to burglarizing 20 homes in the Diboll and Beulah area.
