NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A 31-year-old Nacogdoches man agreed to two concurrent 5-year prison sentences in connection to a rampage that damaged the inside of a Metro PCS store and an unrelated motion to revoke probation charge for a prior arson offense.
Dameion Jakeith Hall appeared in Judge Campbell Cox's 145th Judicial District Court for a plea bargain hearing Wednesday. Concurrent means that Hall will serve the two Texas Department of Corrections prison sentences at the same time.
According to a police report, Nacogdoches Police officers responded to a 911 call about Hall damaging display cases inside the Metro PCS store located at 1019 South Street back in May. Witnesses told the officers that Hall was pacing around the store and suddenly got irritated. He began to throw things.
When officers arrived on the scene, the store was in disarray, and Hall was ripping one of the signs. Hall brought up his fists and resisted arrest, the report stated.
Hall was initially charged with state-jail felony criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
