CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A grand jury has indicted a man on eight charges for the murder of his girlfriend shot dead at her job in Cleveland.

Maurice Brown has been indicted on aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, felony assault and a weapons charge.

Police say that on July 13, Brown walked into the Metal Fabrication Company on Berea Road and shot Doris Schobel. A police report showed it happened after Schobel had a long argument on the phone with someone. She had also filed police complaints about Brown in the days and weeks before the homicide.

19 Action News found Brown was wanted by County Court and by the City Court for cases that involved Schobel and other people.
