LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The pen was put to paper Wednesday as members of United Way of Angelina County signed along the dotted line to allocate funds to agencies all across the county.
The organization decided they will need to raise $475,000 this year, which will then be divided to the 21 agencies in November.
Some of those agencies will include the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, as well as the Family Crisis Center.
"These are people in the community that are giving back and we want to make sure that you know we're good stewards to the funds and we make sure they go to the agencies that benefit the most residents in Angelina County," Mark Hicks, the chairperson, said.
Hicks says you can begin to donate now by visiting the businesses or the United Way web site.
