ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Working from witness information and surveillance video, Angelina County Sheriff's deputies tracked down a couple that allegedly committed at least nine burglaries in one day at the Black Forest RV Park in Zavalla Monday.
Deputies picked up Tim Francis and Tammy Francis, both of Zavalla, on arrest warrants Friday after they made a traffic stop on the couple, according to Lt. Pete Maskunas of the Angelina County Sheriff's Office. Each of them was charged with nine felony counts of burglary.
Maskunas said Tim Francis and Tammy Francis hit at least nine RVs over the course of an evening. Deputies recovered between $15,000 and $20,000 worth of stolen property, including fishing equipment, camping gear, and scrap metal. The couple also stripped copper wire out of some of the vehicles as well, Maskunas said.
The case is still under investigation, and Maskunas said Tim Francis and Tammy Francis could be tied to additional burglaries.
