ABAC hires Robert Morgan as new baseball head coach

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

ABAC has named former Valdosta State star Robert Morgan to be its new head baseball coach. The hire was announced on Saturday.

Morgan set single season records with a .436 batting average and had and a 31-game hitting streak for the Blazers. The All- American was picked as the best shortstop in the 40-year history of Valdosta State baseball.

On June 10th, ABAC removed the interim tag of Jeff Kilgore to be the team's head coach after improving the team's conference record by 6 games. 9 days later he resigned to be the head coach at his alma mater, Emmanuel College.
