CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) -

A massive fire destroyed a Crockett home early Wednesday morning. No one was home when the blaze started, and no injuries were reported.

According to John Angerstein, the chief of the Crockett Fire Department, the house had been burning for quite a while before the fire department was called at 4:45 a.m. When the fire crews arrived at the house at 101 E. Bonham Ave., the home was already fully involved.

Angerstein said the fire was extinguished quickly.

The house is considered a total loss. Angerstein said the city fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
