Here are some stories of interest for you to check out this afternoon:

1. Agents and troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating American Medical Center on Wednesday morning, where a Tyler physician has been arrested and charged with diversion of a controlled substance. His office manager was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance by fraud. Join reporter Summer Dashe for more details tonight on East Texas News at 6.

2.The Bullard High School Solar Team placed third in a week-long race that took them from Ft. Worth all the way to Los Angeles. The Bullard High School engineering class started working on the vehicle back in October, and it was the product of countless hours of planning and engineering, work that began at the beginning of the school year. 3. Scholarships have been awarded to almost all of the West Rusk High School students who plan to attend East Texas Baptist University this fall. According to ETBU officials, 15 of the 16 West Rusk seniors have been awarded scholarships from the university itself. The 15 recent high school graduates will be able to split $125,000 in scholarship money between them, which comes out to a little over $8,000 per student

4. Tyler police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at P.T. Cole Park in Tyler on Tuesday night just after 9:30. According to police, 20-year-old Briana Raquel Young of Tyler was killed when she and her three-year-old son were caught in crossfire when shots were fired.
