CHANDLER, AZ (CBS5) -

A motorcyclist is dead after he lost control of his bike, struck a curb and crashed early Sunday afternoon, Chandler police said.

No other vehicles were involved, said Chandler police spokesman Joe Favazzo.

The 44-year-old man's name has not yet been released. He died at the scene, according to Favazzo.

The crash occurred in the neighborhood just east of McClintock and south of Chandler Boulevard.

Favazzo said it's too early in the investigation to know if alcohol or other factors may have contributed to the crash.
