LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The official results won't be released until August 19, but Lufkin homeowner Darla Hendrickson says it's pretty clear where her home stands.
Hendrickson entered her home into the national paint contest hosted by Behr Paint a couple weeks ago. Right now, Hendrickson's home has about 1500 votes on the Behr Paint Facebook page, which puts her in second place.
But Hendrickson says she is overwhelmed by all the community support.
"It's pretty humbling to realize that everybody cared enough to go and vote. So it's pretty cool," Hendrickson said.
The grand prize winner will get an in person consultation and a professional application of Marquee paint for their home, while the top three first prize winners will get that consultation over the phone and will receive a $1,000 worth of paint.
