LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - She's sweet as can be and that's why the name Honey is so fitting for this 1-year-old Black Mouth Cur.
Kurth Memorial, animal care attendant, Sarah Mosely says, "She is very sweet. She likes to talk. I've heard her kind of make her little noises every once in a while when we pass by her and they say she likes to walk on a leash."
Black Mouth Cur's are traditionally used for hunting and cattle dogs so honey will definitely need a job to do or have plenty of play time.
"They do need time to run around and play fetch. They are active and give them some exercise," said Mosely.
Honey has been at the shelter for about a week. She was found as a stray and brought into the shelter.
She hopes someone will love her as much as she loves people.
Honey is full of energy and she's even got a few tricks up her sleeve that nobody even knew she had, like sit and shake.
