CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - When Crockett Police officers located and arrested a 53-year-old man on a felony robbery warrant and two misdemeanor theft warrants Tuesday in connection to several beer thefts, they found him in possession of a stolen chainsaw and a lawn mower.
Frank Earl Love, of Crockett, was arrested at the scene, according to a press release from the Crockett Police Department.
While the Crockett PD officers were on the scene, they learned that the chainsaw had just been stolen, and it was later returned to the owner. The Cub Cadet lawn mower was also believed to have been stolen, and it was taken to the Crockett Police Department for safekeeping until the owner can be located.
The warrants stemmed from three different theft incidents that occurred at Crockett businesses. On July 31, Love was caught stealing five 30-packs of beer from Crockett's HEB store. When a store employee confronted Love about the theft, Love allegedly threatened him or her, grabbed two of the five 30-packs of beer and fled toward the parking lot.
Aug. 2-3, Love stole a total of nine 30-packs from the Crockett Brookshire Bros. store.
