PHOENIX (CBS5) -

It appears Arizona convicted killer Jodi Arias has launched a book club while awaiting her sentence for her ex-boyfriend's death.

There's a website with her reviews of books she has read behind bars. Some of the books include To Kill a Mockingbird and Memoirs of a Geisha.

"I just finished ‘To Kill a Mockingbird,' which I managed to avoid reading in HS. I understand now why it's a classic. It was a good read. This author, now elderly and nearly blind and deaf, was conned out of her royalties for a period, but won them back in a recent legal battle. Good for her! There is so much quotable material in this book. A few that stuck out to me: ‘The one place a man ought to get a square deal is in a courtroom, be he any color of the rainbow, but people have a way of carrying their resentment right into the jury box.' (Atticus Finch) and, ‘It's never an insult to be called what somebody thinks is a bad name. It just shows you how poor that person is, it doesn't hurt you.' (Atticus Finch). I cried three times reading this book," writes Arias on Jodispage.com.

Her Twitter page that is run by a friend stated, "Send me no more books. I'm max'd out. They'll get returned."

In January, artwork supposedly created by Arias was up for auction on eBay by her supporters in an effort to help raise money for her family's travel expenses and other fees, according to the auction listings. [Related: Drawings by accused murderer Jodi Arias sell on eBay]

Arias is awaiting her retrial for the penalty phase of her case.

On May 8, a Maricopa County jury found her guilty of first-degree murder in the death of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

Alexander was killed at his Mesa home in June of 2008. At first Arias said she was not there at the time of his death. She then told detectives home intruders killed him while she was there. She later told authorities she killed Alexander in self-defense.

After a high-profile and lengthy trial, the jury convicted her but could not reach an agreement on whether to give Arias life in prison or the death penalty and the jury ruled a mistrial.

Arias is expected to be back in court on Aug. 26, as the penalty phase continues. [Related: Timeline of events in Jodi Arias case]

During her last penalty phrase, Arias told the jury she planned to start a book club and a recycling program in prison if they spared her life.

More than a few tar-covered tires are hanging on to the parking lot of a Lufkin tire shop.  On August 31, newly laid asphalt on Loop 287 started sticking to tires of those driving, leaving many of the cars un-driveable. As of Friday, the Texas Department of Transportation hadn't come out with an official cause for the incident, but that hasn't stopped over 600 people from filing claims with them.
