Nacogdoches Co. Sheriff's deputies arrest Tenaha man for sexual assault

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 21-year-old Tenaha man for sexual assault Sunday.

David Miguel Samford is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a second-degree felony charge of sexual assault. His bail has been set at $50,000.

According to an arrest affidavit, NCSO deputies were dispatched out to a sexual assault that had already occurred at a residence in the 400 block of FM 225. The deputies attempted to locate the suspect, but he had already fled the scene.

At the scene, the NCSO deputies took a statement from the alleged victim and collected evidence. Samford was later located at FM 1087 and County Road 153, Camp Tonkawa. Based on evidence obtained from the victim, Samford was arrested and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
