LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Whataburger will be donating 25 percent of all of its proceeds on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. to benefit the Lufkin High School drill team.
Dancers from the drill team will be at all three Whataburger locations to meet and greet the guests as they pick out their items from the menu.
Whataburger says the panther pride benefit is a way to help raise money for the drill team and get involved with the community.
"At Whataburger, we take pride in our community and look for ways to serve. Lufkin Panther Pride does the same thing. They rally community spirit and school spirit at various events in the community and they give back through things like little drill and their Christmas spectacular and their spring show so it's just a great opportunity to partner with them," Melinda Sullivan, the director of marketing at Whataburger, said.
Sullivan says anyone is welcome to come out. The only thing you have to do to donate is order.
