DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) - An Angelina County grand jury has determined there is not enough evidence to indict a Broaddus man ruled at fault in a wreck which killed two women, one of whom was pregnant.
Steely Lewis Jocis, 19, was pulling out of the Diboll Depot Center and hit a car driven by Cherisse Robinson-Lewis in May. Lewis-Robinson wound up in the northbound lanes of traffic and was struck on the passenger side by an 18-wheeler, driven by Policarpi Galvan.
Robinson-Lewis was 24 to 27 weeks pregnant. She and the baby died. A passenger in the car, Yvonne Lewis-Williams, 63, of Houston, also died in the wreck.
