Nacogdoches Co. Sheriff's Office: Man arrested for crack after drug raid

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - After Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies and NPD officers joined forced to serve a search warrant on a residence on Arthur Weaver Road Friday morning, they arrested a 33-year-old man for felony possession of crack cocaine.

William Richard Cole III, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a second-degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams. His bail has been set at $25,000.

According to a press release from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office, the drug raid at approximately 5 a.m. Friday was the result of an ongoing investigation of drug distribution within the county. The investigation revealed that a distributor was dealing crack cocaine from the residence on Arthur Weaver Road.

When the law enforcement officials searched the residence, they allegedly found 17 grams of crack cocaine, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia. Cole was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
