ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office have arrested four suspects in an attempted home invasion on FM 2021 in July. They are asking for the public's help in locating two more suspects who are believed to be in the Houston area.
Deputies arrested Dwayne Adams, 22, Brandon Hatter, 20, Derrick Mojekwu, 31, and Bernard Palmer, 29, all of Houston, on Thursday. All four are charged with first-degree aggravated robbery, second-degree aggravated assault and state-jail felony engaging in organized criminal activity. They are being held on a collective $600,000 bail each.
Sheriff Greg Sanches said his office is trying to locate Rashad Terrell, 21, and Jordy Wimbush, 30. They are believed to be in the Houston area.
Investigators with the sheriff's office began the investigation in July after a homeowner had gotten him and when four men pulled up and tried to force him to open his front door. He refused to do so and one of them men fired a round through a window before all four fled the scene.
"There was a firearm that was used," said Sanches. "It was shot through the person's window who was being burglarized, so we do treat a person like that as armed and dangerous so if they see him report to the sheriff department and let us handle it."
Sanches said it is not clear whether Terrell and Wimbush were with the original group of four or in a separate vehicle.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Terrell or Wimbush should call the sheriff's office at 936-634-3332.
