HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

State troopers arrested a Kennard man who is accused of driving drunk with a one-year-old passenger Saturday night.

According to the arrest report, a deputy with the Houston County Sheriff's Office pulled over a Chevy truck, driven by Randy Wayne Burran, 47, at 8:35 p.m. The deputy called DPS to assist on a suspicion of DWI and the responding trooper reported Burran showed signs of drunkenness.

Burran refused to take a field-sobriety test, but the trooper had enough evidence to arrest Burran, according to the report.

The trooper obtained a blood search warrant for Burran, which is pending.

Burran is charged with state-jail felony DWI with a child passenger.
